"Education means the process of teaching or learning, especially in a school or college, or the knowledge that you get from this" (www.cambridge.org). From this definition, we can say that two people are involved: the teacher and the learner. Both acquired knowledge in a certain subject, subject that is not related to molding the attitude, behavior, and character of the learner or an individual. "Attitude means a predisposition or a tendency to respond positively or negatively towards a certain idea, object, person, or situation" (www.businessdictionary.com). "Behavior means the way in which someone conducts oneself or behaves" (www.merriam-webster.com). "Character means one of the attributes or features that make up and distinguish an individual" (www.merriam-webster.com).
I know of many educated people, doctorate degree, masteral degree, college graduates, who are educated in their courses but they're not educated on how to deal properly with other people. They thought that they are superior than the others, they tend to disrespect other people. These educated people I know are professors or educators. I think professors should not only be experts on their fields but they should also be models particularly in ABC (attitude, behavior, and character) to their students.
I suggest that the schools or government should do something about this. Values education for teachers or professors should be part of the school's programs or activities every year, so that they will be reminded or be aware on how to properly deal with any kind of people. Values education should also be incorporated in every subject that is being taught to the students every semester.
